Sarkodie Won His First ‘Artiste of The Year’ @ 21years

Currently holding the best recognition as the Artist of the year with additional badges of Best Rapper of the year and Popular Song of the year from the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Michael Owusu Addo (Sarkodie) remains unstoppable!

The ages of many Artistes in Ghana unlike their international peers are hidden with few who are bold enough to mention it aloud (don’t blame them it’s the culture in Ghana). Unbelievably, Okyeame Kwame who turned 36 last week mentioned his age and followed it with “R2G’s, refuse to grow”. One Ghanaian Artiste whose age has come to the lime light scotching the doubts of many is Sarkodie. Is he 23 years? With a mathematical calculation to 2010, he is known on record to receive the 5 awards at age 21 years.

The attendees of the VGMA who received a copy of the magazines which was shared at the entrance would have to go back and read the page 29 of the magazine. It has the caption just below Sarkodie’s picture, “Sarkodie emerged as the youngest rapper to win the highest award- ‘Artiste of the Year’ at GMA. He was 21 years when he walked away with five awards in 2010”

On a lighter note, Fred jovially said the beard of the rapperholic alone is 28years. Sellasi, Tony, Gino, Darlington and Mohammed all members of the TeamSarkodie arguably proved his (Sarkodie) age with school leaving years.

Indeed July 10 will be the 23rd birthday of Sarkodie (oh yes you can ask his mum, Emma Maame Aggrey).

Once again, www.233times.net congratulates the exceptional talent on his reelection as the Artist of the year and his early success in life. Indeed Sarkodie cannot be acknowledged less than with the thoughts of being BLESSED.
