Omotola Takes More than US$30,000 per Movie

Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde according to blogger Stella Dimoko-Korkus is the highest paid Nigerian actress.

While there is no detailed list of other earners in that industry, the actress, according to reports, bags a whooping sum of five Million Naira (more than US$30,000) per movie script.

This figure shatters an earlier report that the highest paid Nigeria screen personality was bagging approximately 2 Million Naira (approximately US$12,000).

Unconfirmed reports say Genevieve Nnanji, Ini Edo, Patience Ozonkwo and Rita Dominic were bagging between 1 to 3 Million Naira per movie.

Omotola according to reports has turned down a script worth 3 Million Naira and was reported to have recently turned down a script worth 2.5 Million Naira.

As the saying goes, one man’s meat is another man’s poison as actress Ireti Doyle gladly accepted 2.5 Million without any hesitation.

Omotola was apparently paid 5 Million Naira for her role in movie Aminaproduced by Tarila Thompson.

It is remoured that she bagged 4.5 Million Naira (more than US$27,000) for her role in Leila Djansi’s Ties that Bind.
