Yaa Pono Changes Name to Proverb; Panji Expresses Disappointment In Name Change

The recent changing of names by Artists has had its way into Tema precisely on the doorstep of Yaa Pono. The former Pigen Music Artist this week disclosed that, he is no more known as Yaa Pono but should be called Proverb or Pro for short.

Parting away from Pigen Music, the ‘Nsamkwua’ rapper has joined the list of Samini’s High Grade Family where he is known to be a new comer since last 3 months. In an earlier video interview with www.233times.net, Yaa Pono disclosed earlier that, he is a family with Pigen Music and Panji takes very good care of him and he is not leaving there any soon. His departure is indeed a shock to the Entertainment Board of www.233times.net  (nothing lasts forever, take note).

On Takoradi’s renowned radio Station, Goodnews FM, Razak, the astute radio presenter disclosed that, Panji Arnold, who is the ex manager of Proverb (Yaa Pono) told him that, he is very disappointed in his former progeny changing his name to bear an all English name now. To him, that would not impact so much internationally, but names like Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi among others has broken boundaries with their local names so he is indeed disappointed him Yaa Pono for that step. To Panji, Proverb should have consulted him before; probably an advice would help him stay on his Yaa Pono recognition.

Yaa Pono now is a rebranded Artist with Proverb or Pro as his new birth name. He is no more with Pigen Music so fans should take note. He promises of coming out with new songs complimenting his new brand.
