Formerly of VIP, the founder of the group, Friction, had taken a long break from the Ghanaian musical scene for some time.

The death of the president which up till now Ghana has not been able to recover from has directed many Artists into the studio to pay their respects to the late First Gentleman of the land, Late President Atta Mills. One of the tribute songs which have gained the attention of most good music lovers is the tribute song from the founder of VIP, Friction. This reporter was poked by friends and readers about the song, as many describe it as a master piece; upon the numerous call on the song moved this reporter to embark on this story.
In the song, Friction, the multi talented musician went ‘Hausa’ on the chorus as he rhymed in English speaking volumes about the Late Professor (Atta Mills). Friction, lamenting on the tragedy, poured out in the song that, “my heart is heavy with sorrow, my eyes are heavy with tears, the sun hangs coldly in the sky, an arrow stands at the tip of my tongue. But I smile through my tears………”
In what could be described as an exceptional poetry, Friction with a heavy heart had to go to his office (studio) to give off his best to tell the world how deep the pain cuts via the dirge ‘We Miss You Uncle Atta’
Friction is set to release singles in due course promises fans of his usual best and assures fans of a different trend of music.
