Imagine Majid Michel in the shoes of Pastor Mensah Otabil preaching to a congregation of 2,870 about the essence of Baptism; Timothy Bentum takes the stands of Archisbishop Duncan Williams and teaches a congregation on Forgiveness, Funny Face ushering new converts into a recital of Born Again plea. This is an epitome of what will happen on 2nd September, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church, Opposite IPS at 3:00 PM.
Where many organisations reach multitudes through masking a Celebrity with their products, Timothy Bentum, the Engineer behind this Evangelism seeks to win souls for Christ by putting well known faces and voices on the pulpit.
Showbiz has been viewed by many as a non Christian industry and this Evangelism campaign is scheduled to refute it. Showbiz sector has many staunch Christians who play pivotal roles in their various churches of which their joint efforts will be put on this platform.
Dubbed ‘Hood to Hood Evangelism’, Timothy Bentum told this reporter that, the evangelism tour is scheduled to reach all corners of the country with the Celebrities preaching and teaching the word of God. This Evangelism does not end only in the shores of Ghana as other neighbour African States get ‘oiled’ with the Holy Spirit as well.
Among the celebrities to take the pulpit in turns include Timothy Bentum, Majid Michel, Eddie Nartey, Jeremie, Prince David, Funny Face, Ekow Smith Asante, Maa Efia etc.
If not for any conflicting schedule, this is a must attended congress to have the touch of the Lord through your icon and indeed “Come see a Man” which is the theme for the event taken from John 4:29.
Proceeds from the Evangelism will be directed to support the less privileged, Timothy Bentum added.
Sponsors are entreated to come on board to spearhead this to reach as many ‘hoods’ as possible. Volunteers are also welcome to help in the various departments.
