Thrown into a state of excruciating grief, Ghana has never known joy since 24th July, 2012, 14:15 pm after the demise of the first Gentleman of the state, Late President John Evans Atta Mills. No laughter has been heard in the country ever since, as the one week celebration yesterday (31st July) doubled the pain.

Just as eulogies about the former lecturer of University of Ghana never ends, the working force behind the winner of BET Best International Act; Africa (Sarkodie), Team Sarkodie, has joined the trumpeting voices to send across the world sympathy with the bereaved family and the country at large.

Members of Team Sarkodie mentioned that, they have a heavy heart in expressing this condolence. To them, this is an unbearable situation to all Ghanaians not only the family as all Ghanaians share the grief. The team expressed that, their heart goes out to the former first lady, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills for such an unfortunate situation, to the entire family of the late President and Ghana at large.

Asked whether their idol, Sarkodie, will dirge this event on beat, Team Sarkodie pressed that, “Sarkodie just returned from Canada yesterday (31st July, 2012) and we are pretty sure he will do something for the late President. It is so sad he came to the country with an award (BET Award) worth celebrating by the whole country but came to meet the country in pool of tears”. To the team, this is how they sign the Book of Condolence via this story.

The team made up of Fred, Anthony, Gino, Darlington, Mohammed, Selasi, Nana, Eddy and Faya called that, Ghanaians should see the death of President Mills as a pivot of unity and “everyone should burry their political differences and come together as one to help in giving the late President a befitting burial as the world has their eyes on the country at this time”.
