Actors, Presenters, Professionals and Musicians Win Souls For Christ

Ken Fiati, Ekow Smith Asante, Prince David Osei and Eddie Nartey

2nd September, 2012 to the attendees of the Hood2Hood Evangelism which brought all Celebrities on the pulpit, will be marked in diaries as the best event ever to be scheduled in the shores of Ghana. Many were on tenterhooks waiting to see the celebrities who were billed on the poster to deliver the word of God.

The Hood2Hood Evangelism which aims at masking Actors, Presenters, Professionals and Musicians to win souls for God, in their second edition brought together over 400 people under the blessed roof of Trinity Baptist Church, Opposite IPS. The congregation cum fans who gathered to watch their icons speak to them about God were in extreme shock seeing some ‘bad boy’ movie role actors enter the spirit.

One person whose words about God were unbelievable which most dropped their jaws to touch their feet was the engineer of the event, Timothy Bentum. Known on TV as a notorious armed robber, womanizer, and a drug addict, roles he easily plays them as drinking water, Timothy Bentum used his life as an epitome to advice the youth populated congregation how he has moved from a drug addict to a staunch Christian. His wife, Maa Afia the host of Soundz Splash, also joined his husband in the sermon and advice session.

Prince David Osei, the first Ghanaian to feature in Hollywood as well preached about the Creator of the World (God) and told how his life had been before, where he is now and where he looks forward to be. Ekow Smith Asante, Ken Fiati, Nii Saka Brown, Horace Reindolf, Pastor Enoch Fletcher, Jeremie, Joe Mettle, Cwasi Oteng, Nyameba, Majid Michel and Funny Face who were billed to sermon in turns were all present to do just as they were expected to.

One of the Evangelists on the programme bill, Majid Michel who had just touched down from Liberia whilst the programme was in session told the congregation that, he couldn’t have missed it for anything. Intelligently, the actor extraordinaire using himself, told the congregation about purity, salvation and forgiveness.

Y fm’s American accented lady who doubles as host of 4syte TV show, Jeremie told the congregation how she had grown from the world into God. As a pastor’s daughter, Jeremie added that, she was initially worshipping God and singing in church not from her heart but as a family ethics. Surprisingly, she leaded the entire people into alter calling.

For a second, the event as mistaken for a standup comedy show as the funniest man in Ghana, Funny Face took turn to deliver his sermon as well as tell his story. To him, he had come from a very poor background which hadn’t been easy as he grew up. Though full of wisdom and based on true story, his presentation of the whole life story was coated in his expertise, ‘fooling’ which got the congregation go rib cracking.

A surprise visit from one of Nigeria’s best actors, Yemi Blak as witnessed at the event. He as well took the microphone and gave out his words in his British accent. Rebecca Acheampong, known on stage as Becca was present with her manager, Kiki Banson who gave a teaching on the essence of tithing.

2nd September, 2012 wouldn’t have been a perfect day without such an amazing show put up to draw fans of Celebrities closer to God. In God’s abundant blessings, He will never forget Timothy Bentum who engineered this event as well as the Celebrities who gave themselves to be used as a magnet to draw their fans to God.

The Actors, Presenters, Professionals and Musicians (APPMC) is scheduled to donate to the Christian Faith Foster Home at Frafraha on the Dodowa road coming Saturday. This donation aims at giving to the children of the home assorted items together with spending time with the Celebrities they hardly meet but mostly see on TV.
