“You can still worship God and be Funky’ Jeremie (4syte TV)

The Hood2Hood Evangelism Tour organized by the Actors, Presenters, Professionals and Musicians for Christ (APPMC) on 2nd September, 2012 witnessed some amazing revelations from the Celebrities who were billed on the event.

Jeremie Van Garshong, Ghana’s astute Showbiz presenter, who was billed on the Evangelism tour, took turn to deliver to the youth populated congregation about how her life had transformed over the years. Known with her prolific delivery on TV and radio with her envious American accent which comes from a thin and piercing voice, Jeremie until the APPMC gave her the platform to speak about God was labeled ‘Satan’ due to the nature of her work. Before the event, this reporter who was part of the organizers had people asking him “what at all will Jeremie, deliver on God?” Some critics had conveyed to the Trinity Baptist Church to hear the goddess of Showbiz’s say on Jesus.

As shocking as it came, Jeremie revealed that, she is a daughter of a Pastor. “Jeremie, a Pastor’s daughter?” many asked, opening their mouth wide and exclaiming the fricative ‘huh!’ after her revelation about her staunch Christian family.

To her, going to church was something she did just to please her God servant dad and her ‘Osofo Maame’ mum. Though she was a singer in the choir in church, Jeremie was not so into God then. The showbiz flirt, Jeremie, posited that, her life took a volte-face when she heard a story on TV about a lady who had given her life to Christ. Since then, prefixing her daily activities with showbiz died off and began and ended her dailies with God.

“I’m a funky chick but still worship God. Being funky doesn’t stop you from being close to God. There is no way you can have a conversation with me without me mentioning God. You can be funky and still worship God”, in her American accent, the funky Christian and 4syte TV’s pride, Jeremie, added.

Uncontrollably, Jeremie could not hold back her tears as reminiscing on how far she has come in the Lord made her creek her eyes depositing a lot of tears on its salty banks. She ushered the congregation into recital of a born again plea.

Don’t paint a picture of someone before knowing who they are; presumptions are the tools for failures; this reporter learnt this after knowing who Jeremie Van Garshong is.
