Known on the airwaves with the appellation ‘oooo Joe!’, Isaac Duncan Williams is hailed as the farmer of great seed talents in Ghana. With his ‘Kasahare’ rap competition years back, he gave great talents in Ghana particularly Tema, the platform to outdoor their prowess. Many great rappers who are now breaking boundaries passed through the ‘Duncan Nursery’ (Kasahare Rap Competition).
Now the Executive manager of BET Best International Act Winner (Sarkodie) and CEO of Duncwills Entertainment, Dr Duncan who had coached and judged most of the rappers, has put on tape to portray what makes him a musical lord. Titled ‘shocker’, Dr Duncan in the introduction shouted out loud, “this is our city, Tema”. In Fante slangs, Dr Duncan sung the chorus of the song which translated into English means “I’m from Tema, what are you saying? This is the Shocker crew and we are wild”.
Basically, the single song from the CEO of Duncwills Entertainment tells how his life in the Harbour City (Tema) has taken a volt face. After the chorus, he started with the rap which was also in Fante saying “I started from community 9, continued to Community 2, the car is nice (Masarati). His stubbornness ended him in court ……….. tell them to stop their wack flow and make more dough ……….”
Asked if he is wrestling the microphone with Sarkodie, Dr Duncan told www.233times.net that, it was a song not planned; he just went into the studio and “dropped some bars on the beat”. According to him, Sarkodie is best and it was a song he did not to wrestle him but just for fun. “Will it be periodic releases or Ghanaians should expect an album?” Sarkodie’s musical grandfather, Dr Duncan said “not really, but my love for music made me do something but who knows, anything can happen”
The song ‘Shocker’ is yet to be released to the general public but www.233times.net pioneers the release to its readers.
