Three Heads of State and one vice president have arrived in the country for tomorrow’s swearing-in of president-elect John Dramani Mahama at the Independence Square.
They include; President of Equatorial Guinea, Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of Benin, Dr. Thomas Boni-Yayi, President of Senegal , Macky Sall, and Vice President of Kenya, Dr. Stephen Kalonza.
The rest are the Prime Minister of Namibia, Nahas Angula, Chief Executive of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, Daniel W. Yohannes who is leading the US presidential delegation.
Other high ranking foreign dignitaries are also expected in the country later this evening for tomorrow’s august ceremony.
Meanwhile the Ghana Airport Company says operations at the KotokaInternational Airport will not be disrupted by the arrivals of the dignitaries.
Commercial traffic at the airport is usually halted for a brief period to make way for the huge number of dignities arriving for such programs. In some cases, domestic operations are even cancelled. But managers of the Airport tell Joy News the airport now has the capacity to accommodate more aircraft as a result of the recent expansion works.
