The Ga rapper, Nii Addo who flirts with Showbiz with the name Tinny made some remarks about the Tema based BET and numerous Awards holder, Sarkodie that, until he is a decade old in the Rap game, he cannot mark him.
In his own words on E TV, he said “When Sarkodie ‘chop’ ten years, then we see,” he said in pidgin English.
“He is a baby but he is doing well. Yeah. He is taking Ghana to some level but I can’t rate him with myself just like Jay Z and Lil Wayne. There is no way you can compare the two. Never,”
This did not go down well with most ‘Sarkoholics’ (Sarkodie fans) who quickly posited that, Tinny is jealous of the endeavours of the Rapper. To some, Tinny’s remarks were applausive since standing the test of time makes you a hero and a legend.
Last two days, the internet was inundated with song from the progeny of Duncwills Entertainment, Sarkodie. Titled ‘Y’all already know’ the song was produced by King of Accra. Mixed with English and Twi with some icing of Pidgin, Sarkodie went ‘hard’ on whoever was in question.
Starting with “this is the beginning of the end”, the song is seen by many as a beef song which is directed to Alatse Tinny. In his rap, Sarkodie pointed out that, he is still a baby and just look at what he is doing (Translated in English).
Outlining some of his achievements in the songs, Sarkodie mentioned that he will rap to the end of his life and also ended with his visit to the Asantehene’s residence where he was royally invited by Otumfour Osei Tutu.
The argument on various Tertiary campuses is that, obviously, listening to the lyrics of the song (Y’all ready know) it is directed to Tinny. www.233times.net followed up on it to find out the truth in it but none of Sarkodie’s sources would want to confirm nor deny it. Efforts to reach Sarkodie on phone proved futile.
Whether the song is a reply to Tinny’s description of Sarkodie as a baby, none of the members in Team Sarkodie wanted to spew up. Fred, Eddy, Moha, Faya, Tony, Nana, Sellassy and Gino who make up the team were all lip sealed when www.233times.net contacted them on it.
