About 200 Senior High School students of the Kolege Senior High School at Darkuman-Junction in Accra on Tuesday embarked on a demonstration against the school authorities after they were prevented from participating in the ongoing WASSCE examination.
The students were unable to write the first papers in the on-going West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) because the director and the headmaster of the school failed to register them.
The students burnt the headmaster’s car, destroyed some other school property and bolted with some books from the school’s library.
According to the students they paid all their fees and were ready for the exams but did not receive their index numbers which would have allowed to write the examinations.
