Big Brother Africa contestant Roki’s ex-wives evicted over $600 debt

FORMER Big Brother Africa contestant Roki Josphats could be looking for new accommodation for his two ex-wives after they were evicted from a Harare house for failing to pay rent on Friday night.

Pauline Gundidza and Melody Musekiwa were already making-do without electricity at the Waterfalls backyard cottage vacated by the singer in November last year to make way for them.

But on Friday, unpaid electricity and water bills were the least of their worries after they were evicted over a US$628 debt.

Landlord Alfred Muriya said the two women had left behind their household goods which he was moving into a storage facility in Budiriro.

He vowed to pursue Gundidza and Musekiwa, insisting: “What I just want is my money.”

Roki vacated the property to live with mates a few streets away, saying it was a “business decision” to ask the two women to move in together.

Pauline – the mother of Roki’s two children – works as the singer’s backing vocalist while Melody – with whom he has one child – is a dancer.

The two women – now believed to be living in St Martins – went to court recently to try to stave off the eviction. They argued Muriya was not the owner of the property and had no legal right to enforce their eviction.
