Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari has pleaded with temporary-retired international players Michael Essien, Kevin Prince Boateng, the Ayew brothers to return.
The AC Milan star believes the Black Stars will be invincible when all four players rejoin the team.
Chelsea’s Michael Essien asked not to be considered for the Nations Cup, while AC Milan’s Kevin Prince Boateng quit the Black Stars in 2011.
Andre Ayew and his younger brother Jordan announced in February they had quit the Black Stars after they were left out of the Ghana team that went to the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
“Prince is one amazing player I have played with, he is a good guy as well and we would love to have him back because we know what exactly he can give and not only him,” Muntari said.
“I will also plead with Michael Essien, Dede Ayew and Jordan Ayew to join us because they are very good players and important to us.
“If we get these players back definitely no one can compete with us so I will use this opportunity to plead with them to probably change their mind and join us soon.”
Muntari has been preparing with the Black Stars team in Accra ahead of nex week’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho.
