Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Red Carpet as I saw it

931254_558206310898016_2122692918_nThis past Saturday was Ghana’s official day dedicated to Music. The whole country had their eyes and ears focused at the event organized by one or if not Ghana’s biggest event organizers CHARTER HOUSE. The event which was telecasted on television by two stations was an event millions of Ghanaian stayed till into the wee hours of the night to watch.

On the red carpet was CEO of one of Ghana’s Biggest Night Club Aphrodisiac and presenter Benny Blanco. Benny as always was good and looked good, now Confidence is the news she was herself I will say this being her second time there was a difference in her presentation; her schooling in the Queens land has paid off. Within minutes into the red carpet event lots of people went via the various social media in Ghana to bash her really bad. All they kept saying is she isn’t doing well but what she was faulty, people couldn’t identify. Opinions are like noses everyone has one so let sleeping dogs lie.  Sometimes I think it will be better to look at the brighter and positive side of things to move forward.

With all the bad mouth on social media about confidence on the red carpet here are a few news items she was able to cook out from people who were on the red carpet;

‘When the new sexy mother Mzbel got to confidence in her blue dress from her ever famous clothing line “Micci Belino” which she only wears’. Mzbel was rocking on the all motherly look which look a little different from the “abi sixteen girl” Mzbel we know,  she actually mentioned her son was with a nanny home of which we can’t ascertain the truth we know in Ghana when a lady gives birth mothers and aunties rather babysit than employing a nanny . Or maybe she prefers to call that family member a nanny? Mzbel went on to announce the name of her son as Aaron and not Zoe as its rumored around and she confirmed her clothing line “micci belino” will soon be launched.

When Kwabena Kwabena got on with his African print jacket and the normal chit chat went on, Confidence drop the juicy info, that Kwabena Kwabena’s recent wife was once a beauty queen who represented the Ashanti region in the same year confidence represented the Volta region as miss Volta in the Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant.

Yaa Yaa’s turn was a low point with Confidence but she got it up soon. The low point was when she called Yaa Yaa Naa Ashorkor, but that was soon sorted and Yaa Yaa lectured her name change and introduced her hair style as “fa b3 bom” literally meaning come let’s put it together.

Efya got on and you could see the vibe between them already, Efya’s highlight was her dress which she said was given to her by her godmother who was once a Miss Ghana contestant and that gown was what she wore on the final event of that year’s Miss Ghana Contest. Efya’s mother was also at the event and she did mention she never believes rumors about her daughter because she knows her daughter that well.

Fashion Supreme Court lawyer Sandra Ankobia was in one of the outfits she cat walked on the 1957 runway some few weeks ago.

D flex had one controversial thing to say and that he was also wearing his own cloth line “D FLEX BELLINO”.

To me it all went well; let’s look at the positive if it’s good it’s good for us all. Pull them down when it nothing is wrong it’s just waste of time.
