The nominees for Reggae Dance Hall Song Of The Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards last year were Shatta City – Bandana, Our Africa – Blakk Rasta Ft Jay Anber, Go Go Wild – Eazzy Ft Jupiter, House Of Pain – Knii Lante, Toffee Pon Tongue – Kaakie, Time Bomb – Samini Ft Wizkid of which the second female in the category squeezed the balls of the male contenders.

Kaakie’s win did not go down well with the leader of the Shatta movement (Bandana) of which he openly expressed his disgust. This ended him becoming the rag of the media in Ghana.

Quiet that she was, Kaakie was not heard on the issue until the inquisitive Amanda Jissih on her popular E Talk asked the ‘Dancehallstress’ about it. “I have no problem with anyone. Winning an award is subjective so I don’t expect everyone to be happy about me winning 2 awards” Kaakie addressed.

Further speaking on the issue, the admirer of Bandana since class 4 said she was impersonated on Twitter to reply Bandana’s tweets at her and she released a statement to the press to caution people that was not her.

Ending her touch on the issue with kisses to the ‘Dancehall King in the whole Ghana’, Kaakie opened up that, she had not met Bandana in person before and her team and Bandana are ‘cool’.
