1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. This I am sure is the motivational verse behind Shatta Wale’s public apology via the song ‘Letter to Kaakie’
Shatta Wale deserves a path on the back for such a bold and wise step he has taken; to apologise to the ‘DanceHall Diva’ (Kaakie) he hails her. When the song was released to the public yesterday, the eagle eyes of this Reporter was all around the Social Media to hear what the public had to say about this move.
Particularly on Twitter where he first broke the news of his apology and captioned it “FROM THE DANCEHALL TEACHER TO THE DANCEHALL DIVA…. SHATTA WALE-LETTER TO KAAKIE http://www.hulkshare.com/eb9nzubl90cg “ many people were in a hurry to hear what ‘rascal’ Shatta Wale has this time around. It was obvious it was an apology song rather than more bruises as the Dancehall Artistes in Ghana are each other’s neck.
For me and many who share similar sentiments, I think the Showbiz media who were in a hurry to report Shatta Wale’s deviance should in the same way applaud him for such display of maturity. It would take more than publicity thought to embark on this move. Shatta Wale as many know is an egocentric Artiste who does not throw in the towel just like that so for such a move, its remarkable and needs to be publicized.
Cephas Kofi Betadayz, my abettor and the author of all music lyrics on 233times.net wrote “Indeed from today my respect for Shata Wale has really increased” and for the first time, I agreed with Cephas in a statement without contention.
I don’t have as much as to say like I usually do; this was just to applaud Shatta Wale for that excellent step and displaying creativity at its zenith.
I sieved all headlines that came into my mind and could not settle on any than “Clap for Shatta Wale; Papapapapapapaa!
Would you be surprise if Shatta Wale wins Artiste of the year in next year’s Ghana Music Awards? Food for thought.
