Court to hear Justice Kpegah’s fresh suit against Nana Addo

An Accra Fast Track High Court will on Thursday hear a fresh suit filed by former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Francis Yao Kpegah, challenging the status of New Patriotic Party’s Presidential Candidate in the 2012 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo, as a lawyer.

Justice Kpegah has accused Nana Akufo-Addo of impersonation, a claim which had been thrown out by an Accra Fast track High Court, some months ago.

Speaking to Citi News, lawyer for Nana Akufo-Addo, Frank Davis revealed that his team his filed an application urging the court to dismiss the suit.

“He [Kpegah] has instituted another action in the Fast Track Court and the matter is now constituted before Justice Ofori Atta,” he stated.

Lawyer Davies further stated, “We will be going to the Automated Fast Track and we have an application to have the action dismissed once again and it is coming on before Justice Ofori Atta at 9 am.”

“He has sued Nana Addo in another court on substantially the same release,” he added.

An Accra Fast Track High Court had earlier dismissed an application filed by a former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Kpegah, accusing the NPP’s 2012 flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo of impersonation.

The court which was presided over by Justice Cecelia Sowah dismissed the case, describing it as frivolous.
