The General Overseer of the Action Christian Faith Ministries, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has advised Ghanaians and politicians not to put themselves up for leadership positions if they have no proven track record.
According to him, Ghana doesn’t “need amateurs in leadership, we need seasoned people.”
Speaking at a special Republic Day Service at the Action Chapel Prayer Cathedral in Accra, Archbishop Duncan-Williams said: “We need people who have been through something and have survived something. People who have never been exposed to governance are very dangerous when they have power and they end up abusing the purpose for which it was given to them.”
He added that a time will come “when until one owns a business, has paid salaries, and owned something; you must not be qualified to run for politics in the country.”
