Film Producer Leila Djansi Shouts at UTV “STOP PIRATING ON AIR”

710901550_349042Last week, one of the leading film producers in Ghana, LEILA DJANSI unleashed on UTV which telecasted the movie “FAST AND FURIOUS 6” sometime back.  According to Leila, UTV did not have the right to telecast the movie and was therefore aiding in piracy.

On twitter, she really made her point clear and even reported it to the twitter handle of the organization in charge of copyright in America. As usual of a typical Ghanaian, some took to ruining insults on her; calling her all manner of names but just as the Leila we know she was strong and did stand for the right, with the help of actress Ama K. Abebrese.

Piracy is bad for business in the creative industry and it all helps to defraud our creative people of their hard earned money they deserve; no wonder lots of people in the industry end up poor at the end. It’s either we stand now or never, it might be tough but when it need to be done, it need to be done well.

Below are a few tweets from Leila’s twitter handle so you have a feel of what really went on. SAY NO TO PIRACY.
