On his visit to his ancestral root continent, President Obama made a visit to South Africa where former 1st Black President of the country Nelson Mandela lays in critical condition in a hospital. And many South Africans pray for the life of their hero and the world’s legend. President Obama couldn’t make it to the hospital but met with the family of the former president.
The first family of America toured Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years behind bars. President Obama stated that his family and himself are deeply humbled to have visited the cell that once housed Nelson Mandela.
President Obama wrote this in the guest book at the prison courtyard.
