President Obama visits Nelson Mandela’s prison cells with Family

BOBAEcYCIAAb68HOn his visit to his ancestral root continent, President Obama made a visit to South Africa where former 1st Black President of the country Nelson Mandela lays in critical condition in a hospital. And many South Africans pray for the life of their hero and the world’s legend. President Obama couldn’t make it to the hospital but met with the family of the former president.

The first family of America toured Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years behind bars. President Obama stated that his family and himself are deeply humbled to have visited the cell that once housed Nelson Mandela.

“On behalf of our family, we’re deeply humbled to stand where men of such courage faced down injustice and refused to yield

The world is grateful for the heroes of Robben Island, who remind us that no shackles or cells can match the strength of the human spirit ”.
