Spanish La Liga side CD Granada have recalled Richard Boateng, the junior brother of Black Stars and Fulham midfielder, Derek Boateng, and he is set for first team place this season.
The 18-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan at Cadiz where he impressed greatly necessitating for a call back and with a first team place high on the agenda.
“Richard Boateng, a Ghanaian footballer and Orestis Karnezis, a Greek, have been called back to Granada for regular first team place,” the club stated on their website.
“Boateng, who is currently one of the subsidiary payroll has been training with the team at Cartegena. The midfielder has been on loan at teams like Cadiz and San Roque de Lepe.”
“Lucas Alcaraz and his men want to examine closely at Granada African positive developments, they stand a chance in the first team starting from the ‘B’.”
The midfielder now joins compatriot Clifford Aboagye who is on loan at the club from Italian side Udinese.
