Newcastle director watches Dede Play
… Jordan is a target for West Bromwich Albion
Newcastle director of football Joe Kinnear was at Valenciennes against Marseille on Saturday night.
Kinnear was understood to be watching Andre Ayew of Marseille while another recent target Andre-Pierre Gignac scored the late winner for Marseille in a 1-0 win.
Ayew’s brother, Jordan, a winger, is a target for West Bromwich Albion as is Marseille teammate, midfielder Morgan Amalfitano. Albion also had scouts at the game.
The 23-year-old can play as a winger or a striker and has a decent scoring record for Marseilles, with 33 goals in the last three seasons.
He is also a regular in the Ghana national team with four goals in 43 caps. Gignac, 27, has 16 caps for France and scored 13 goals in Ligue 1 last season.
