PHOTOS: Accra goes QUIET and CALM as Ghanaians await Supreme Court Ruling

As the International media often spew, “African elections are unpredictable” in terms of stability; before, during and after the elections.

As Ghanaians await the final ruling today from the Justices on who the winner of the 2012 General Elections was/is, the country is highly tensed especially with these few hours to hear from “Our lords”.

The legitimacy of President John Dramani Mahama is the question now as the New Patriotic’s Nana Akuffo Addo is challenging him in the Supreme Court.

Accra, a busy capital of Ghana is quiet and calm like a typical holiday in the country. Surprisingly, 80% of shops are closed since the fear of possible violence pokes people despite high security deployed at notable places. In pictures, this is the situation in Central Business District:
