Shatta Wale, the most talked about musician now was billed to perform in Takoradi on Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s birthday, 21st September at the renowned Vienna beach by Hencom Multimedia.
The flyer and radio jingles announced that gates will open for the program at 10am. Fortunately Shatta Wale was in town on Thursday, two days to the event and went to do radio interviews in couple of radio stations, the program didn’t come on.

I was at the event venue as early as 11am. As at 10pm when I left the Vienna Beach, the program has still not started and it was quite obvious the program flopped because the number of people present were
about 40 of whom I could count about 15 regular patronizers of the beach.
Castro who was not on the flyer was seen at the event venue around 9:34pm which didn’t even ginger those ones around to pay and enter as they claim they ‘always’ see him.
Several interviews conducted out of the over 500 people present at the entrance and at the popular Alan Beach which is just a stone throw from the venue revealed that, they were not ready to enter as the GH¢20
rate wasn’t affordable. “Me then my girl GH¢40, way money we go take buy drinks and take enter the club, and what too we go take go home” was what one of those present told hypingghana.com in pigeon english.

Even though there were many programs in town, the Takoradi Shatta movement had a great and massive hype with flout on Friday evening. The cause of the event flop was worse organizing, planning and the rate charge. The Xtreem West Entertainment powered program billed Nhyiraba Kojo,BB, Nero X,Bubulu, Sketches Ayisem to perform.
