Most of Ghana’s top stars will not be in action when the Black Stars take on Japan in an international friendly match on Tuesday.
Up to 10 players were left out of the trip due to varied reasons after Ghana beat Zambia 2-1 on Friday.
Kevin-Prince Boateng, Adams Kwarasey and to some extent Asamoah Gyan have injury concerns.
But Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has a few family issues to sort out after the demise of his father a few days ago.
The remaining players who did not make the trip include Kwadwo Asamoah, Andre Ayew, Foli Adade, Awal Mohammed, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Mubarak Wakso.
Tuesday’s match will give Kwesi Appiah the chance to assess some of his fringe players.
