“Cape Coast music will do well nationally if there is unity among the Artistes” Jungo

1238096_651891868167788_1885289968_nOver the weekend, the bar was set higher in events at Cape Coast when Spio Jungo, a rising Cape Coast based star served the residents of the former capital of Ghana with his birthday pool bash. This according to reports is the first time something of this sort is organized in the Metropolis by any Artiste.

Hailed as the Artiste who started music in Cape Coast, Jungo can be mentioned as the most popular Artiste in Central Region, this Reporter can confidently posit. His pool bash which was at the Samrit Hotel, a 2 month old 2 star hotel in Cape Coast saw the attendance of myriad of fans and non-fans alike to witness a bash of this kind as it is mostly watched on TV.

With performances from/by Nhyiraba Kojo, Old Soja and 54 Up and Coming Artistes, every attendee was well served as they chorused songs of their favourite rising stars. Not only were they massaged musically, they as well shared in the celebration of Jungo’s birthday. The event was telecasted live on Coastal TV.

Speaking to Jungo after his performance, the rising star mentioned that “I was challenged to bring out the best since this was the first time something of this kind was organized. It was a hurdle in the sense that, the venue was a new place and was not popular among Cape Coasters. But we thank God everything went on successfully”

He further answered when this Reporter asked why Cape Coast music is not having a good stand in national music “The main problem is disunity among us (Artistes). Cape Coast Music will do well nationally if there is unity among the Artistes. As you witnessed, we have great talents but the problem now is disunity and we will do better if we are united”.

He ended by expressing his gratitude to the Candyman who was the main Architect of the show, Media, Djs, Nhyiraba Kojo, Old Soja, his colleague Artistes, and fans that came in their numbers to support him.

Jungo is the composer of popular songs like ‘Bless me’, ‘More Money’ among others and under 619 Entertainment Record Label.
