Edwin Gyimah: I’m learning from Essien, Ayew and Muntari

SuperSport United’s versatile midfielder Edwin Gyimah has said that he is learning from his Ghana team-mates Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Andre Ayew.

The 22-year-old earned a call-up to the Black Stars for the game against Egypt last week following an injury to John Boye and was on the substitute bench.

However, the experience of spending time with such a talented squad of players is rewarding enough for Gyimah, a player who has been in fine form for Cavin Johnson’s side over the last 18 months.

Speaking to his club’s official website, Gyimah said: “Muntari, the Ayew brothers, Essien, for me are some of the best players in the world. They have football brains and have made known their quality on the biggest stage.”

“I am surrounded by great players in the national team, training with them and watching what they do and in games playing with them and learning from the best players. For me I can only see one way to go, and that’s for me to improve and become a better player.”

The former Wa All Stars player has been instrumental for the PSL outfit since joining two seasons again.
