Obrafour is not changing his name – Management expresses anger over false publication

download (4)Obrafuor’s management team are not happy with recent media publications about their artiste, and have suggested he was misquoted too many times in the last few interviews he granted.

His manager, Edward Nana Poku Osei Hammer, who requested for an interview with us over the weekend, has sought to clear the air on a number of issues that have come up so far out of the said publications.

On wanting to become a pastor

“All this started when he said he wanted to honor God with his new line of music but he was quoted as saying he wanted to be a pastor.”

“He said his name Obrafour means the executioner but as part of a positive rebranding exercise, it now means Obrafoforo translated as “new life” but it was said he had changed his brand name to Obrafoforo which was absolutely false. It’s the meaning of the name that changed from executioner to new life. Not his name Obrafuor.”

Album delay

“Unlike the “Kasiebo” album which was late due to ill health, this new one is late because I want to give my fans a good album so am doing so much listening, corrections and double checks to give them a great album.

“And it was reported that he said his album was late because of ill health which was wrong too.”

On him saying he’s still the best

“He was asked if he feels intimidated by the hot competition in the new school and that does he think will survive, he answered, “As you can see I’m still collaborating with the new school on songs such as Sarkodie so it’s obvious  that won’t be a problem but it was rather reported that he said he was still the best.”

“All these,” Hammer believes,  ”would seem like a deliberate attempt to defame Him and due to this Obrafour has decided not to grant anymore interviews that won’t see him in person or hear his voice directly.”

Obrafuor’s next studio album is due for release early next year.
