Takoradi last Saturday witnessed great performances from various artist who were billed to perform at the Kaakit Up Tour. Kaakit Up Tour started in Tamale, moved to Sunyani and later got to Takoradi over the weekend.
The Rackus Entertainment organized event billed artist like Kofi Kinaata, Samini,Edem, Kwaw Kwese, Getto KB, Natural Face and Castro. Few days to the event, Castro debunk the rumor that he was billed to perform even though his name was on the flyer, Getto KB didn’t also perform.
The program started around 9pm. Natural Face opened up the event and killed those who were present there with his hit tracks. Kofi Kinaata followed him with great performance. He performed most of his track, back to back and everyone was dancing to his “Aha y3 Dew”. Kofi Kinaata couldn’t leave the stage without impressing his home based fans with his 44 gig freestyle raps.
Edem entered the auditorium in great style and for a minute all you could hear was screams from the girls. He also performed his hit back to back tracks including “Over Again”,Getto Arise and Heyba. Edem moved the audience to the extend that even some oraganizers and ushers where seen dancing.
Followed by Edem’s performance came, Kwaw Kese. Kwaw Kese entered the stage with Buda. Even though Kwaw Kese had performed in Tarkaw a day to the event, he gave out his best and made his fans “mad”. He couldn’t leave the stage by allowing Buda to rap that made anyone clapping an cheering.
The MC who was billed for the night should be paid twice as he made anyone present to laugh and add some hours to their life. The MC was so funny to the extend that he could even rap with scratch Card digits. The event was gingered when Nana Adwoa Arthur of Skyy Power FM fell on stage that made Abeiku Quansah Breezy, Head of Team Kinaata and CEO GhCampuz to shout Amanda Fom Bo Part 1 & 2, literally meaning Amanda’s Downfall Part 1 &2.
The last but one to perform was Samini. He rocked the audience to hit tracks from his debut album “dankwansere”. He then performed to tracks like Adult music and time bomb which made Fiifi Adinkra of GhanaNdwom to be on his feet and dance to the musics. How i wished Nana Kwesi Coomson of 233times was there to comment about Samini’s stage craft as compared to Sarkodie.
Samini Introduced Kaakie to the stage and Kaakie indeed proved to everyone present that she deserved to be crowned the dancehall artist of the year. She performed to all her hits tracks and she couldn’t leave the stage without thanking Takoradi for their massive support and patronizing.
