The story of a poor Orphan: How Nigerian Rapper Ice Prince made it

Ice+Prince++zamaniIn case you never knew, Ice Prince is an orphan and as it was reported he lost his Dad in 1999 and his mum in 2011.

If you are part of those believing that things were very rosy for award winning rapper Ice Prince from the very start then I believe you should have a rethink as this guy also got his portion of life’s unfair treatments.

Ice Prince who talked with the entertainer’s Tony Ogaga revealed that he was never born with a silver spoon. He said things were moving fine before his dad passed on and life took another turn.

In his words:

I wasn’t born with a silver spoon. My dad was not a billionaire, neither was he a pauper he sent us to good schools and we had vacations outside the country; we were okay but in 1999 I lost him!

It was a big loss for me and my family. I was 13 and the eldest kid; I had a mum and two younger sisters to look out for and so I had to grow up overnight; thank God for family support.

He was a soldier. he taught me everything I know today. My mum was very supportive but she died in 2011, so right now I am an orphan.
When he was asked how it felt to have lost both parents, he said
“It feels lonely! We were three kids; a boy and two girls and I am the eldest. I became the man of the house after my dad passed on and that has given me a sense of responsibility. It made me grow up overnight!

“I am 27 but my responsibilities are more than that of a 27-year-old. I have to take care of my sisters. I thank God for elevating me. I guess I was called to do this (music).”
***I believe his story must have taught you a lesson. Be strong to pass through whatever life throws at you with faith and prayer to God and I tell you, you will smile again.***
