You have to know the details of something before you conclude – Sarkodie tells media

IMG-20131021-WA003On what can be best described as ‘Sarkology Tour,’ the only Ghanaian BET Award winner, Sarkodie is touring all popular Radio Stations in the Ghana’s capital, Accra, to poke fans and non-fans alike (listeners) on his next album using snippets of the album.

His recent stop was at Radio Gold 90.5 where the Rapper shared some personal details he has been quiet about for some time. The Konvict deal where Akon on radio was ‘misquoted’ by many publications was addressed by Sarkodie on air. The introvert ‘Rapperholic’ for the first time opened up on the publications.

He said “you have to know the details of something before you conclude” Sarkodie directed that to the media. According to him, signing under a Record label is more or less like being incarcerated so you have to be on the same page with the person to do that.

He further mentioned that, the truncated video which was shown during his performance at Ghana Music Awards during the time the news about Konvict deal broke into the country was not a signing message from Akon but rather a co-signing. “Saying, watch out for Sarkodie, an endorsement not a signing message” the rapper put it.

Asked whether he did not feel happy about the signing or the clauses, Sarkodie answered the Presenter cum Fashionista, KOD that he cannot go deep into that.

Sarkodie said he heard people ‘misquoting’ Akon until he went to listen to what the Konvict CEO (Akon) said and found out that, what he said and what the media carried were not the same.

The Rapper is set to release his 3rd studio album ‘Sarkology’ before close of the year.
