Dede Ayew voted Olympique Marseille’s Player of the Month for October

imagesBlack Stars midfielder Andre Ayew has been voted as Olympique Marseille’s Player of the Month for October. He beat French duo of Mathieu Valbuena and Florian Thauvin who scored 17 percent and 12 percent of the poll.

The 23-year old, who polled 47 percent, was key for the club in the month as he played in their Ligue 1 and Champions League ties.

More recently in their last Champions League home game against Napoli, Ayew scored a late volley to register his first goal in the competition but it was not enough to stop them from losing their third straight European Cup game of the season.

He scored a penalty in a 2-1 home loss to PSG on the 6th of October and was also prominent in the team’s 2-3 home loss to Stade Reims on the 26th of October where he set up winger Florian Thauvin for the first goal of the game.

Ayew has scored three times for the club in thirteen games in all competitions this season.
