Ghanaians miss Holy Ghost motivated Gospel songs

hqdefaultHitherto, one could listen to a gospel song and be born again; songs that were baked from the ovens of great and legend Gospel Artistes like Pastor Joe Beecham, Amy Newman, Stella Dugan, Dorcas Appiah, Suzzy and Matt etc could make one spiritually filled.

It got to a time I was pushed to believe that some contemporary Gospel Artistes saw a fierce competition in secular genres so their only option was to pose and appear as Gospel Artistes since choosing secular genres would delay their breakthrough into the musical world. Thinking aloud though!

If a Gospel song could be cocktailed with secular music in Night Club, that should tell you how spiritually vague they are. No problem with the adaptation of contemporary style or borrowing secular music trend for gospel songs but the impression some Artistes are giving the general public is that, their songs are not Holy Ghost motivated but they are motivated by their yearn to be billed on big stages to promote themselves and not soul winning nor promoting God’s works.

As to how some Gospel Artistes appear in their clothes, let’s leave that for another publication. Life is full of choices and it is like a two side coin. If you choose the other, you forgo the other and bear the consequences of what you have chosen. Gospel music comes with a package and that should be portrayed by these Artistes.

Only God knows the motivation behind some of these Artistes who turn some of us Stammerers calling them ‘Gospel Artistes’

Undeniably, some of them are doing amazing!

This is an UGLY TRUTH!
