Kairos Movement For Alan (KAMFA) call on Alan Kyeremanten to announce his candidacy for 2016

download (6)Kairos Movement For Alan (KAMFA), last week, released a statement calling on Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten to announce his candidacy for the 2016 flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).

However, the statement appears to have raised opprobrium to the NPP Chainman in the UK, Hayford Atta-Krufi. A disclaimer issued by Hayford Atta-Krufi indicates that the leading members of KAMFA are not NPP members. Wewish to state that, KAMFA is a recognised pro-NPP group in the UK which believes in the ideals of Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen and its members are eligible Ghanaian voters residing in the UK.

The executives of KAMFA wish to state that, despite Hayford Atta-Krufi’s best effort to distance himself and for that matter the UK branch of the NPP from our statement, the disclaimer failed to inspire any hope in the vast majority of NPP members living in the UK. Prior to our statement, several groups and individuals have openly declared their support for some personalities for the flagbearership slot and we are yet to see a disclaimer from the chairman of the UK branch of the NPP.

Maybe the simple explanation he will give is that due to proximity or contiguity the groups or individuals who were calling on other personalities to vie for the flagbearership were not under his jurisdiction and if so, how about a recent call by Nana Addo Ladies in London to have asked Nana Adddo Dankwa Akufo Addo to stand once again as the flagbearer of the NPP? Is Hayford Atta-Krufi telling the good people of Ghana that it is acceptable by him to see no wrong when a group of people or whatsoever root for a preferred candidate of him but becomes a nuisance when other group of people think otherwise? We leave that to the good people of Ghana to judge.

The executives and the entire members of KAMFA believe in true democracy likewise the party(NPP) we follow which freedom of association and expression is some of the tenets of true democracy and for that matterit was jejune to describe our call as premature. We also wish to state that we are not perturbed by some elements in the party who for their parochial interest are determined to thwart our efforts to selling Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen for his ideals and for this reason, we are still calling on him to announce his candidacy via NPP’s platform as overwhelming majority of the electorates in Ghana are waiting for him to lead the party to wrest power from the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC).

LONG LIVE GHANA, LONG LIVE NPP, LONG LIVE ALAN, LONG LIVE KAMFA.

SIGNED.
