Nana Akufo-Addo’s 2016 posters out in Bolgatanga

Posters bearing the image of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the 2012 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), were seen on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, along some major streets of the Bolgatanga Municipality.
So far no group has claimed responsibility for the posters.
The posters feature the picture of smiling Nana Akufo-Addo and an inscription “2016 AKUFO ADDO IN THE HANDS OF THE ALMIGHTY.”
The poster comes at a time Nana Addo is yet to categorically declare whether he is contesting the 2016 primaries of the New Patriotic Party or not.
Upper East Regional Organiser of the party, Yaw Mort, told the Daily Guide in an interview that the party in the region had no knowledge or hand in the spreading of the poster. “The man himself has not said he is contesting or not so why would the party file posters now. I think some people are only being mischievous.”
According to him, the party will investigate and follow the filing of the posters and he is sure that the person or persons behind the spread of the posters will be exposed soon.
However, some people in the party believed that the posters emanated from a party member in the region.
