Prez. Mahama must stop Church tours and do his work as President

932653005_897826On countless occasions, Ghanaians have seen and heard President Mahama tour various church premises in the name of praising God and appealing to Ghanaians to be patient with him.

He has used such opportunities to pour cold waters on debatable issues bordering on his economic management and in most cases, told Ghanaians advanced nations are in the same hot soup we find ourselves.

But founder and Executive Director of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe, has stated that the continuous church tours and talks of President Mahama has done little to help considering how the poor health of our economy.

According to him, Ghanaians no longer take the president serious when he talks. And the reason is that under his watch, revelations have shown that monies have been fraudulently doled out to cronies of his party.

In an interview with Okay FM, Mr. Cudjoe noted that it is about time government searched for resourced persons to access state projects before it commences. Such resource persons according to him should be made to report to the entire cabinet setup and not necessarily the president. If this is done, Mr. Cudjoe believes government would know which projects to embark on and those to reject.

Using his outfit as an example, he stated that IMANI Ghana has embarked on huge researches using resources persons and have ended up spending less than $200.
