A fishing vessel whose name was given as “Atiyah” has been intercepted in Western Region. The vessel which is suspected to be carrying $30 million worth of cocaine was intercepted by the Navy and Air Force patrol team in the Western Region.
Information gathered by www.233times.net is that the vessel is registered as a fishing trawler in James Town in Accra.
Those on board of the vessel are currently in police custody and according to deep throats, they were Guyanese and one Ghanaian. The Narcotics Control Board are investigating the alleged crime.
