De Sa – Dauda remains my third-choice keeper

Orlando Pirates manager Roger De Sa has explained his reasons for keeping Senzo Meyiwa between the sticks, and not giving Ghana international goalkeeper Fatau Dauda a run.

“Dauda is our third-choice keeper,” De Sa told Sports24. “Brighton Mhlongo is our second choice and the other thing is Dauda is always away with his country.”

“He needs to be patient too and hopefully his time will come just like Senzo,” De Sa added.

The former Ashantigold custodian is under pressure in his native Ghana for his bench warming role in South Africa. Football watchers have warned that could cost him his Black Stars spot ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
