Ghana is guaranteed at least $8m for participating in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Ghana FA will get an extra $1.5m to prepare the Black Stars for next year’s tournament.
This was revealed by FIFA at a seminar for the qualified teams a day ahead of the grand World Cup draw in Bahia, Brazil.
FIFA’s total financial package for the 2014 World Cup is pegged at $576m.
This represents a 30 percent increase from the $420m provided for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Ghana will receive $14m if they are able to equal the quarter final finish achieved last term in South Africa.
This figure will rise to $20m if the Black Stars finish fourth (the tentative target), $22m for coming third and $25m for finishing second.
The Black Stars will however receive a whopping $35m in prize money of they are able to win the World Cup.
Ghana will find out its group opponents on Friday after an impressive qualification series capped with a massive 7-3 aggregate scoreline over Egypt last month.
