Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr known in Dancehall as Shatta Wale at the ‘Ghana Rocks’ event last Friday was given a ‘script’ by Event/Award Organisers Charter House to deliver to Ghanaians, deep throats reveal.
The self-branded King of Dancehall according to information gathered by www.233times.net is one of the obvious choices for the ‘Artiste of the Year’ crown next year at the Ghana Music Awards. Undeniably, after his deviance at the Ghana Music Awards where he lost the ’Reggae Dance Hall Song of the Year’ to Kaakie which infuriated him and his inactions shot him to stardom again, his name is what Showbiz Media in Ghana thrives on; anything Shatta Wale is enough to give a medium a great statistics.
www.233times.net has gathered that, the melodrama at ‘Ghana Rocks’ where Shatta Wale rendered unqualified apology to Charter House was carefully planned and given to Shatta Wale to redeem his image and he was to do that under duress for the ‘Artiste of the Year’ title.
Even though he has stated that ‘me no need no award’, the Event Organisers (Charter House) has no option than to push down the throat of the ‘Dancehall king’ composer about 4 awards, the rumour mill has it.
Until Shatta Wale publicly says sorry and act as such and not via Social Media, Charter House would not be in any position to give those 4 (supposed) awards to him. Ghana Rocks, which is one of the biggest platforms in the country during Christmas, would be the perfect avenue to show their prowess in acting.
If Shatta Wale had not apologized, deviance could have also been an option for many to use to get the attention of Charter House with regards to previous occurrences which had opened award doors to some Acts in the country.
Shatta Wale ate his vomit back at Ghana Rocks with these words “I want you to bear with me that in this industry we love ourselves and we love Ghana. I really want to apologize to Charter House because I never knew they love me so much… I just want to say I’m sorry” Calling the brand face of the medium, George Quaye on stage, he added “Tell them Shatta Wale sorry not that I want an award but I feel we have to continue. I love you people,”
One of Ghana’s eloquent Presenters, George Quaye who on behalf of Charter House accepted the apology replied “You know, I think this is a big surprise and is one of the matured things I’ve seen this gentleman do. Ladies and gentlemen, two fingers up in the air for Shatta Wale. We accept your apology”
www.233times.net and this Reporter are following up on this story and will update Readers with up to speed information on the authenticity of the ‘CHARTER WALE’ saga if and only if the rumour mill is right this time around.
