Justin Bieber mugshotJustin Bieber Was Arrested For DUI, in Miami “We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture,” reads the petition, created after the pop singer was arrested for DUI.
“We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.”
The petition is hosted on the White House’s We The People citizen portal and it’s a policy of the Obama administration to officially respond to all petitions that reach 100,000 signatures within 30 days. It’s not the first unusual petition Obama has been forced to respond to. He recently released a statement regarding the proposed axing of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
In a skit, Kimmel had jokingly proposed killing the Chinese so that states didn’t have to pay back debts.
“The parties involved have already apologized independently. Jimmy Kimmel has apologized on-air, and issued a written apology” read the official White House response, “ABC has removed the skit from future broadcasts, taken the clip down from online platforms, and detailed several changes in its programming review process in response to this incident. You can find more about Jimmy Kimmel’s apology here, and ABC’s apology here.”
Obama’s statement on Justin Bieber is expected over the weekend.
