The Christian Council of Ghana is advising churches to aid in the fight against lesbianism and homosexuality in Senior High Schools.
This follows a recent report of increased acts of lesbianism at OLA Girls’ Senior High School, in the Asutifi North District of the Brong Ahafo Region.
Reports suggest a drop in the academic performance of the students in the school due to sexual harassment of juniors who refuse to engage in the act of lesbianism with their seniors.
Speaking to Citi News, the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Reverend Dr. Kwabena Opuni Frimpong called for counseling support services to help reduce the phenomenon.
He described gay practices and lesbianism as “unbiblical, it’s unchristian and it’s unafrican” therefore it should not be accepted by society.
Rev. Frimpong added that persons involved in such practices “need help’ and Christians should step up and rescue such people.
