drake-kendrick-lamarDrake, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar are among Forbe’s “30 Under 30.”

Forbes‘ “30 Under 30,” which it refers to as “a tally of the brightest stars in 15 different fields under the age of 30,” features several rappers in its music category.

Forbes says those mentioned are “founders and funders, brand builders and do-gooders” who are “reinventing the world.” Forbes names J. Cole, Drake and Kendrick Lamar, among others.

J. Cole, who is 28, is named in the list for being a Hip Hop “force.”

“Jay Z’s first signing at Roc Nation is now a Hip Hop force in his own right,” Forbes says. “Sophomore album Born Sinner debuted at #2 on the charts with sales of 297,000, nearly matching Kanye West’sYeezus. Now grossing six figures per night on his world tour, Cole is here to stay.”

Drake, who is 27, is also mentioned in the feature.

“The former Degrassi star has pulled in over $30 million in the past two years, boosted by live shows and endorsements with the likes of Sprite and Kodak,” Forbes says. “Look for him to build on that with his latest arena tour in support of new album Nothing Was The Same.”

Kendrick Lamar, who is younger than Drake and J. Cole at 26, is also part of this list.

“Dr. Dre’s latest protégé earned $9 million last year after releasing smash hit good kid, m.A.A.d city and playing over 100 live shows,” Forbes says. “Better yet: he earned seven Grammy nominations, more than any other artist besides Jay Z.”

Ryan Lewis, 25, was also named in the article, mainly for his work with Macklemore and their The Heistalbum. Wiz Khalifa, 26, was also mentioned in the feature. Khalifa has made the Forbes list for the third consecutive year, according to the publication, thanks to sales of music, merchandise and concert
