Sochaux have reached an agreement with Olympique Marseille to sign Ghana international Jordan Ayew on loan for the rest of the season.
Ayew struggled for game time at the Stade Velodrome for the first half of the season and wants to improve his fortunes in 2014.
The 22-year-old made only seven starts in the 16 Ligue 1 appearances for the first half of the season.
He was down the pecking order behind Saber Khalifa and Andre Gignac when sacked coach Elie Baup was in-charge.
But it does not look like his situation will change under new man Jose Anigo.
Sochaux coach Herve Renard has assured the youngster enough playing time.
Ayew needs to be active to maintain his position in the Ghana squad for the 2014 World Cup finals.
Meanwhile Olympique, Marseille are expecting injured Andre Ayew to start training later this month, the club have announced.
The Ghana international is recovering from a knee injury he picked up last November during a 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifier against Egypt in Cairo.
The 24-year-old underwent surgery and was expected to spend two months in the treatment room.
Marseille expect him to be ready and available for selection in February.
Maybe against Toulouse on 01 February or the following weekend against Bastia.
