Former Juventus star Stephen Appiah believes compatriot Michael Essien will make a huge impact in Italy after joining giants AC Milan.
Essien is expected to finalize his free transfer move from English giants Chelsea after completing a medical on Sunday. Appiah played nine years in Italy before moving to Turkish side Fenerbahce for three seasons.
He returned to play for Bologna and Cesena. Appiah, who played alongside Essien in the Ghana national team for five years, has tipped him to be a huge successful. “Playing for AC Milan in Italian football will suit his style.
Milan is the one club where I can say they are like a family,” Appiah is quoted by Allsports.com.gh “All the players play there for years so I wish him luck and he will return to the form that made him such a great player.”
