Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Member Randy Abbey is now the majority shareholder of premiership side Heart of Lions.
The former Kessben CEO is reported to have acquired 70 percent shares in the Volta Region club.
Consequently, he has resigned as chairman of the Referees Appointments Committee.
Confirming the story to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS, Randy, a former communications director of the GFA said, “Yes, I am now the majority shareholder of the club, but beyond that I wouldn’t like to make any comment.”
And by the new arrangement, the club’s founder Victor Akpene Ahiakpor becomes a Board Member, with Randy expected to bring his rich football administration to bear on the team.
Heart of Lions finished fourth after the first round on the Premier League ladder.
