I wish my mother was alive to meet my daughter North West – Kanye West

norikanyeKanye West may seem larger than life most of the time, but every once in a while, he reveals that he is, indeed, simply a man.

West put away the theatrics for a moment while performing at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino on Friday (Feb. 21) and got real with the audience, divulging his biggest regret in life.

“These past 10 years have been amazing,” he told the crowd. “There’s been some ups and downs. I made some mistakes and I’ve made some accomplishments. There’s only one thing I regret,” he continued. “There’s only one thing I wish I could change out of everything that’s ever happened. I wish that my mother could’ve met my daughter.”

West was raised by his single mother, Donda West, from the age of three, and the two were very close. She died in 2007, due to complications from cosmetic surgery, paired with other medical issues.
