John Boye returns after 6 months layoff

Ghana centre back John Boye has fully recuperated from knee injury after exhausting the entire duration of the game when Rennes defeated Auxerre 1-0 in the Coupe de France.

The former Heart of Lions defender got injured in September last year after a friendly match between Ghana and Japan.

Boye looked fully fit throughout the game as Rennes picked a quarter-final ticket in the Cup competition.

His return gives Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah more options ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

Barring any injury, he will be on the plane to Brazil.
