Angelina Jolie planning to have ovaries removed following double masectomy

download (1)Hollyweird actress Angelina Jolie recently revealed that she’s still not completely out of the woods with regard to the preventive measures she’ll need to take as a result of her family history of cancer.

The 38-year-old big screen veteran shocked many fans when she made the brave decision to have a double masectomy last year, but she says there’s still more surgery to be done. Speaking candidly on the topic during a recent chat with Entertainment Weekly, she confirmed that “there’s still another surgery to have, which I haven’t yet,” referring to the removal of her ovaries, while also opening up about the tremendous outpouring of support and comfort she’s received from women around the world going through similar situations.

Angelina’s mother passed away from ovarian cancer in 2007 at the age of 56 and because of the family history, doctors have told her there’s a 50 percent chance that she could be diagnosed with the disease as well. We wish her well on her upcoming surgery and pray for a speedy recovery.
